On April 12th the Windsor Public Library’s Central branch (850 Ouellette Avenue) will host a tax preparation clinic. The clinic will go from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and can be attended without any appointment. Mintz River Apartments (1400 Ouellette Avenue) is less than a 15-minute walk from this local library.
Place du Partage
Place du Partage (7515 Forest Glade Drive) provides tax filing help in both English and French to anyone in the community. These services are offered through April 22nd, every Tuesday and Friday evening. An appointment is required. Call 226-773-2950 to reserve your spot today. Place du Partage is a short five-minute drive from Trinity Apartments (1170 Lauzon Road, 1145 & 1175 Adair Court).
The Downtown Mission of Windsor
In addition to providing thousands of meals, overnight accommodations, clothing and job training to those in need, The Downtown Mission of Windsor (664 Victoria Avenue) also gives assistance to anyone struggling to file their annual tax return. Year-round services are provided on weekday afternoons. The Mission is a 15-minute walk from King Edward Apartments (1333 Ouellette Avenue).
Life After Fifty
Adults age 50 and above can get free tax assistance from Life After Fifty (635 McEwan Avenue), a senior recreation centre in the Windsor-Essex area. This service is offered through mid-April, and appointments must be made in advance by calling 519-254-1108, extension 201. The East Side branch, where the clinic is offered, is around a 10-minute drive from Alexander Park Apartments (3445 Riverside Drive East).
