Whittamore’s Farm is just a hop, skip and a jump away from the City of Mississauga in Markham. This popular local farm has a pick-your-own season that lasts from June until the end of October (weather permitting). Whittamore’s farm offers a wide variety of fresh produce to choose from, including squash, pumpkins, sugar snap peas, snow peas and more. Whittamore’s Farm is less than a 30-minute drive from Hazelview Properties’ 1750 Bloor Street West Apartments.
Barrie Hill Farms
Barrie Hill Farms is less than a one-hour drive outside the city and is a great place to pick your own affordable and seasonal produce. Enjoy a delicious range of autumn vegetables including squash, pumpkin and other root vegetables. A trip to your local farm is a great way to support local business and families, along with treating yourself to some fresh homegrown goodness.
Springridge Farm
Springridge Farm is located just outside of Mississauga in the City of Milton. Each weekend at Springridge Farm from September 19th onwards, the farm will be hosting their Harvest Festival. This autumn-inspired weekly event will allow guests to pick pumpkins, enjoy rustic wagon rides, visit the Fun Farm Yard and much more. Besides being able to pick your own pumpkins, Springridge Farm also offers an onsite farmers’ market and bakery.
Downey’s Farm
Downey’s Farm is a 215-acre farm located in North Brampton, just a 20-minute drive from Hazelview’s 30 Central Parkway West Community. This family-owned facility is a fully operational farm that also runs a farmers’ market, in-house bakery and winery. Downey’s offers pick-your-own pumpkins and apples in time for the autumn season. There are 13 delicious varieties of apples to choose from, so there is something for everyone in the family.
