Living in our Hamilton Apartments offers you access to the city’s great arts and entertainment culture. Hazelview Properties has put together a list of upcoming events within the city at Copps Coliseum, Theatre Aquarius, Hamilton Place, and the Art Gallery of Hamilton.
Copps Coliseum
Copps Coliseum is a sports and entertainment arena that can accommodate up to 20,000 people. Some of the biggest names in entertainment have performed here including U2, Pearl Jam, and Bruce Springsteen. Copps Coliseum is only a four-minute drive away from our apartments at 175 Hunter Street East. Here are a few of the upcoming events at Copps:
Event: Varekai by Cirque du Soleil
Date: January 29th to February 2nd 2014
Event Type: Theatrical Circus
Cirque du Soleil, one of the most recognized Canadian brands, features over 1,300 performance artists in over 50 different countries. The company has come a long way from it’s origins in Quebec, and have brought wonder and delight to more than 100 million spectators in more than 40 countries.

Date: Saturday February 8th, 2014 at 8 p.m.
Event Type: Concert
Elton John is one of the top-selling solo artists of all time, having sold more than 250 million records worldwide. He has played nearly 3,000 concerts worldwide, and has 35 gold and 25 platinum selling albums.
Hamilton Place
Event: Barenaked Ladies
Date: Saturday February 1st, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.
Event Type: Concert
The Barenaked Ladies are one of Canada’s most loved rock bands. The band has won multiple Juno awards, and has been nominated for Grammy Awards south of the border.
Event: Craig Ferguson
Date: Friday January 24th, 2014 at 7 p.m.
Event Type: Comedy
Scottish comedian and late night show host Craig Ferguson will be coming to Hamilton with his witty and hilarious stand up comedy performance. Currently he is the host of ‘The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson’ on CBS.
Theatre Aquarius
Theatre Aquarius is recognized as a leader in Canadian live theatre. The theatre produces popular and beloved shows for the public and local community. Theatre Aquarius is less than a seven-minute drive away from our apartments at 44 Glen Road.

The Sound of Music is one of the world’s most beloved musicals. This story of love and adventure is both a thrilling and inspirational tale that makes for fantastic entertainment.
Show: Driving Miss Daisy
Date: Starting February 5th, 2014
Event Type: Live theatre
Driving Miss Daisy originally won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and later became an Academy Award-winning film. This heartwarming story follows an unlikely friendship in a time of tremendous change in American society.
