The rink is open seven days a week for people of all ages and abilities. For any changes in ice conditions and weather updates check out www.skatehrm.ca before hitting the rink. Winter Hiking
A winter hike is a great way to get some fresh air, learn more about your surroundings, and get some great exercise in the process. Hiking through some of Halifax’s most gorgeous trails and natural footpaths is easy when you join a club such as Chebucto Hiking Club. All walks are free, no pre-registration is required, and are done during daylight hours. All walks are at least 10km long and usually take around two hours to complete. Pets are also welcome to join hikers, but must be kept on leashes at all times.
Tobogganing
Tobogganing is a free winter activity that kids absolutely love. There are great hills located close to our Halifax apartments that are suitable for tobogganers of all ages and abilities. Citadel Hill is located less than a 10-minute drive away from our 41 Cowie Hill Road apartments, and offers great inclines, clear slopes, and lots of room for fellow tobogganers.
