It may not seem like the ideal time of year to be outdoors. That might change when you hear about the fun being planned for the upcoming Ice Jam. In today’s post compiled by Hazelview Properties, learn more about this one-night-only outdoor event, taking place near our Guelph apartments.
A sister festival
Elora’s summertime Riverfest is a well-known event in the Guelph area. If you are familiar with this local festival, Ice Jam is essentially a sister affair, operating under the same umbrella. Now in its third year, Ice Jam returns this season on March 5th.
The winter event features outstanding local musicians. This year’s lineup includes Guelph’s own Joni NehRita, Waterloo’s The Royal Streets, Winnipeg’s Grand Analog, Fergus’ Madison Galloway and more. Music begins at 3:00 p.m. on the shores of the Grand River under a heated tent in Bissell Park (127 East Mill Street). The park is around a 20-minute drive from Vanier Court Apartments (27 & 40 Vanier Drive).
Fun activities for all
While music is the centerpiece of the festival, Ice Jam is a great excuse to go skating, enjoy a walk through the park or play in the snow with your kids. Like the festival’s event page on Facebook to stay in the know about all the fun activities being planned for the one-day winter concert.
Save your spot
Now is the perfect time to save your spot for the incredible evening of music ahead. This is a family-friendly event that children under age 10 can attend for free. General admission tickets for ages 10 and above can be easily purchased online today.
