Pride Month is jam packed with events happening all over Toronto. There’s something for everyone to enjoy! Here are the events we’re most excited about. They all take place in the Village, at Church and Wellesley, in downtown Toronto – the beating heart of Pride Toronto.
The Pride Parade
The 2022 Pride Parade is guaranteed to be an uproarious celebration. Featuring 200+ contingents and over 200,000 marchers, you don’t want to miss it! This event attracts people of all backgrounds, young and old, and is all about celebrating diversity and inclusion for all. Be sure to check it out on June 26th from 2 pm to 6 pm. Dyke Rally and March
Celebrate queer and dyke culture and politics, and raise awareness for the need for its visibility and representation, at the Dyke Rally and Dyke March on June 25th, 2022. The rally starts at 1 pm, the march starts at 2 pm. View the march route.
Trans Rally and March
Show your support and celebrate trans people at the Trans Rally and March on June 24th, 2022. The rally and march offer a welcoming space for all Trans people, non-binary people, friends and allies. The rally starts at 7 pm, the march starts at 8 pm. View the march route.
Blockorama
Blockorama is Pride Toronto’s largest stage. It’s the place to celebrate Black love, joy, music, and community. Every year, Blockorama shines a spotlight on Toronto’s local Black performers, artists, DJs, drag artists and more. Check out this year’s guests and learn more about what’s on at Blockarama 2022 on June 26th from 1 pm to 11 pm.
StreetFair
Every year, vendors, artisans and community organizations gather in the Church and Wellesley area, specifically in the Festival Grounds, for StreetFair. It’s held during Festival Weekend in Pride Month, so be sure to check it out on June 24th from 7 pm to 12 am, June 25th from 1 pm to 12 am, and June 26th from 1 pm to 12 am. While you’re there, keep your eyes peeled for the Wellness Zone (at the Alexander Street Parkette) where you can rest and recharge, Art Zone (at the Festival Grounds which run along Church St from Bloor Street East all the way down to Dundas Street East) where you can be inspired, and Food Zone (which runs along Church Street from Gerrard Street south to Dundas Street East) where you can refuel and rehydrate!
Fabulous events aside, what we love most about Pride Month is that it gives people encouragement and the confidence to be themselves. At Hazelview, we want you to be yourself 365 days a year!
