Looking for a summer job or co-op position this year? Look no further than Hazelview Properties’ guide to career resources for Western University students. Our London apartments are located throughout the historic neighborhood of Woodfield in the heart of downtown London and within walking distance of the Western University campus.

Career Central

Career Central is the main job searching and information portal for Western University. This portal offers job and career support, internship information and even job listings for alumni and older students. Career Central can be accessed online or in person at the Student Success Centre on the University’s campus. Whether you are visiting online or in person, this resource can help you meet employers, work on your resume, prepare for interviews, pick up job tips and more. Feedback is also available in multiple languages for international and English as second language students. In addition, all Western alumni are welcome to access Career Central for job postings, events and career resources. Simply login using your former Western username and password.

Job Fairs

Western University offers a number of informative job fairs for students, alumni and potential employers throughout the year. These job fairs provide recruiters with an opportunity to expand their brand on campus and to help students find meaningful employment, internships and co-op opportunities. Remember to bring multiple copies of your resume, business cards and have your elevator pitches prepared for any interested employers. Hazelview’s 1231 Richmond Street Community is less than a five-minute walk to the University of Western campus.

Western’s Volunteer Program

Western’s Volunteer Program provides current students with practical experience and the opportunity to enhance their education while addressing campus community needs. Students can use the Career Central database to search for volunteer opportunities that interest them. Simply log in to the portal, click on the ‘jobs’ tab and using the advanced search option, select ‘Western’s Volunteer Program’. Students can often arrange their own volunteer experience by simply talking with a faculty or staff member.

Many of Hazelview’s London communities are located within walking distance of the Western University. Study, dine, shop and sleep only minutes away from campus.
