Tips for a Spa Night at Home

Partager:
With the stress of the holidays drawing closer, why not take a few hours to relax at home with a do-it-yourself spa night? Below you will find some simple and fun tips for ways to bring the spa home to your Calgary apartment.

Blend it
Use your blender to whip up an all-natural nutrient rich facial mask. Add any combination of moisturizing and hydrating ingredients you like such as yogurt, honey, aloe vera, avocado, tomato, and more (get started with these DIY face masks). Blend the ingredients together until your desired consistency is reached. Remove from the blender and apply liberally to face, allowing the mask to dry for 15 to 20 minutes. Simply rinse off when done and enjoy the refreshed and moisturized feeling of your skin. For the freshest ingredients in town check out Sunterra Keynote Market, located close to our 123 10th Avenue South West apartments.

Crazy for Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is a luxurious and deeply hydrating oil that has many great uses. Try using it to deep condition unruly hair, to protect new hair growth, and add some shine and dimension to hair. For intense hydration, leave coconut oil on the hair overnight and rinse out in the morning. Coconut oil can also be used as a moisturizer on the hands, feet, face, and body. Community Natural Foods has a great selection of natural and organic products such as coconut oil, and is located only five minutes (by car) away from our 1010 First Street South West apartments.

Set the Mood
While make-at-home treatments are fantastic DIY spa ideas for home, the right atmosphere can make all the difference. Set the mood in your home by dimming the lights, lighting some scented candles, spraying soothing scents such as lavender, jasmine, and vanilla, as well as playing some relaxing music.
