Toronto Weekend Activities For Families

Partager:

Looking for something new and fun to do as a family this October? There are plenty of options to choose from, no matter the season! Hazelview Properties has a list of our favourite weekend activities. Give them a try this fall!

Stay In A Family Resort

Planning a weekend stay at a family resort is always a great idea. You don’t have to travel far, yet you come back home feeling like you had a proper vacation. Deerhurst Resort is the perfect little escape. It offers cozy accommodation and great food. They even have a special fall package, so be sure to take advantage of that. The resort is located near Algonquin Park, an amazing place to be to see the changing colours. You might also want to visit Severn Lodge, a lakeside resort in Muskoka. There are a ton of activities for the family to enjoy, including horseback riding, tennis and a games room!

Bike ride to see the fall foliage

Autumn is one of the most beautiful seasons and it’s no wonder why. The fall colours are a spectacular sight! Plan a visit to High Park or the Don River Trail for a wonderful day trip. High Park is big and it’s safe for kids to bike around. The Don River Trail is also very scenic with secluded areas. It has a few bridges to cross, so keep that in mind when you’re with your kids. You also can’t go wrong with the Toronto Islands. It’s a beautiful place to see the fall foliage and your kids can ride safely anywhere since there are no cars on the entire island!

Apple picking

If you’re looking to spend the day outdoors, apple picking is a great activity for the whole family. Check out Albion Orchards or Brooks Farms which are both about an hour away from Toronto. You can pick your own apples and see the pumpkin harvest. Brooks Farms also has a Fall Fun Festival which ends on October 27th. You can expect to see all kinds of animals, a pumpkin cannon show, a corn maze, a pirate ship and so much more!

Visit a Farm

What better way to spend your weekend than at a farm? You can enjoy the outdoors, shop for fresh, local produce and enjoy a delicious country lunch. Chudleigh’s Farm has many activities for you and the kids, including pony rides, wagon rides and hiking trails. The farm is open until October 31st, so hurry up and plan your visit!

Have Fun With Science At the Ontario Science Center

There’s always so much going on at the Ontario Science Center! Both you and your kids can enjoy hands-on experiences, and learn something new about science and technology. Check out one of the eight exhibit halls, live demonstrations or a movie in the IMAX theatre. You can also check out the calendar to see what’s on this month! The Ontario Science Center is open on Saturdays from 10 am to 7 pm and Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm.

We hope you can plan the perfect family weekend with these great suggestions from Hazelview
